Wycombe have signed ex-Walsall defender Chris Westwood and new owner Steve Hayes has spoken of his delight at completing a takeover of the Chairboys.
Westwood has signed on a two-year deal after his Peterborough contract was cancelled. The 32-year-old has spent two seasons at London Road but has been released following their promotion to the Championship.
The versatile 32 year-old usually plays as a central defender but can slot-in anywhere along the back line if necessary.
"As soon as I heard Wycombe were interested I wanted to talk," Westwood told the club's official website.
"I had a meeting with Peter Taylor, he explained his vision for the club and I think it's an exciting place to come - especially given what was achieved last season."
"When you come into a new league, especially if you've just been promoted, you always start with a positive frame of mind. You look to kick on, the gaffer here has big hopes for the club and I think everyone can see that."
Wycombe's transfer activity isn't over and manager Peter Taylor expects more signings.
He told wwfc.com, "Everyone is working hard and I'm very pleased with the squad's fitness, but I'm always on the lookout for more signings and we could have another in the building in time for the weekend."
Meanwhile, Wycombe's shareholders voted in favour of Hayes' proposal to take full ownership of the club on Monday night.
Hayes has ploughed almost £7million into the club in the form of loans, had warned fans that he would stop funding the club if they voted against his plan to write off £3million of that figure in return for full ownership.
"I am delighted and very proud to assume ownership of this great club. I asked for the backing of the shareholders and I received it. I appreciate the result wasn't to everyone's liking, but now we need to move on."
"I would love to see everyone pulling together in the same direction. I know that there are many who want to help the club and we want to talk to and listen to those supporters."
Hayes also owns Rugby Union team Wasps who play their home matches at Adams Park.
