Welcome To Paradise

Getting there:
Train - nearest station is Belgrove on the Queen St. Low-Level line. About 20-30 minutes walk to the ground. Bridgeton on the Glasgow Central low-level line is also close - especially if you are going to the Main Stand or Away Section - but DO NOT arrive at or depart from there wearing Celtic colours unless you are part of a large group. Especially to be avoided after a game, as fans have been attacked and even murdered there.
Bus - they keep changing the routes so always ask the driver first, but numbers 43, 61, 62, 64 and most Lanarkshire bound buses from Buchanan Street pass the ground. Remember - exact money only, so no change!
Taxi - about 4 or 5 quid from the city centre, but don't leave it too late as the traffic obviously builds nearer to kick-off.
Car - there is a car park in front of the main stand, but you have to be early to get a space and be prepared to wait to get away after the game. The Forge Shopping Centre has a nice big car park, but is intended for shoppers only. If you don't wear any colours though, they have no way of telling if you're going to the game. Otherwise, it's a case of take your chance on the street. Friendly local street-children will gladly watch your motor for a quid.
Before the game:
A walk from Glasgow Cross to Parkhead will take you past numerous pubs - The Tollbooth, Crystal Bell, Sarry Heid, Bairds (for die-hards only!), The Wee Man's, The Drover - bursting with Celtic fans, few of which are really welcoming for away fans.
There is a Celtic Shop outside the Main Stand which sells all the usual stuff, from strips and T-shirts to posters and wallpaper.
Food:
Loads of fast-food vans, several of which look as if they specialise in salmonella burgers. Inside there is a reasonable variety of pies, chips, hot dogs, pizza and drinks.
Bookies:
William Hill is the nearest - at Parkhead cross - and Ladbrokes have outlets inside the ground.
Getting Away:
Most people without cars walk back to the train station, or even all the way into town. This takes about half an hour or so. If you wait for the crowds to die down a bit you can get a bus.
