25-6-10: Bristol Rovers have confirmed the signing of former Watford striker Will Hoskins. The 24-year-old frontman has signed a two-year deal with the Pirates after they beat off competition from a number of other clubs, including League One rivals Charlton. The Pirates fell away from the League One play-off picture towards the end of last season but are hoping Hoskins can help propel them into promotion contention next term. He joined Watford from Rotherham in January 2007 in a £1.2million deal which also saw midfielder Lee Williamson heading to Vicarage Road. But Hoskins failed to fulfil his potential at Watford and is looking to kick-start his career after being released by the cash-strapped Championship outfit when his contract expired at the end of the season.
