Shrewsbury Town have clinched a swap deal with Torquay.
The Shrews have signed Nicky Wroe with Jake Robinson heading in the opposite direction.
Shrewsbury have also signed West Bromwich Albion defender Paul Downing and Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Lee Nicholls on loan.
17-2-11: Jake Robinson's Torquay debut was memorable for the wrong and right reasons, according to 'This is Devon'.
The loanee scored but might have the goal chalked off due to an administrative delay which meant he was unregistered for his first appearance against Hereford recently.
Robinson said: "I think I was one of the last people to know about the registration problem.
"Some of the other lads may have realised, but I didn't really know anything until the morning after, when friends started texting me to say I was on talkSport and the internet.
"It hasn't really affected me, because it was nothing to do with me.
"I'm not sure what the repercussions will be.
"But from a selfish point of view, I hope they don't take my goal away.
"I was quite pleased with that one too!"
Robinson revealed that he was suprised that Shrewsbury decided to loan him out: "Everything was going brilliantly – it couldn't have gone much better really.
"Then I had a couple of quite poor games, got left out and a lot of matches were called off over Christmas.
"I fell down the pecking order, which was a bit hard to take.
"When the phone call came from Torquay, for a month's loan to start with, I thought it would be a good idea to go down, play some games and get some sharpness back.
"Then the boss said it was to the end of the season.
"To let someone who was one of the top scorers go to what is really a promotion rival – well, it speaks volumes really.
"But my contract is up in the summer, when I'll be a free agent because I'm 24, so I thought I'd come down here and try and take the chance with both hands.
"Torquay have been great, and it's been a while since I've enjoyed play
