28-6-10: Coventry City have reached an agreement so sign former Carlisle United defender Richard Keogh.
The 23-year-old has penned a three-year contract at the Ricoh Arena, and becomes manager Aidy Boothroyd's fourth signing of the summer.
Keogh, formerly of Stoke and Bristol City, turned down the chance to sign new terms at Brunton Park, with his current deal set to expire.
Due to the player being under the age of 24, the Cumbrians are due compensation for the player and an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
Keogh will make the switch on 1st July and Boothroyd is delighted to have captured his signature.
"Richard is another hungry player who comes here looking to prove himself and that's exactly the type of character we want," he told the club's official website.
"He's already got 170 career appearances under his belt, which is a decent level of experience for a young player, and I'm very much looking forward to working with him.
"We are pleased with our progress in the transfer market so far this summer and we are looking to make more additions to the squad in the near future."
So far this summer the Sky Blues have signed Gary McSheffrey, Roy O'Donovan and Stephen O'Halloran, as they look for a successful campaign in the Championship.
