Chesterfield have snapped up Barry Conlon on an emergency loan from Grimsby Town with a view to signing the striker permanently until the end of the season. 15-7-10: Striker Barry Conlon has become new Stockport manager Paul Simpson's second signing since taking charge at Edgeley Park. The well-travelled forward agreed terms with the club at their Manor Park training ground on Thursday. Conlon has vast experience of playing in League Two following recent stints with Chesterfield, Grimsby, Bradford, Mansfield and Darlington. The 31-year-old, who scored seven goals in 19 appearances for the Spireites in the second half of last season, will act as a target man for Simpson's side.
