The Argentinian midfielder has signed a two-year deal at the Broadfield Stadium after Posh agreed a fee in excess of £100,000. Torres said: "I am pleased to be at Crawley Town. "This was a big decision for me as I had a number of clubs to select from but I was impressed with what Steve Evans said to me over a number of meetings. "I will certainly try my very best to justify the confidence he has shown in me." The Argentinian was transfer listed by Posh after their promotion to the Championship and subsequently sent to the Imps on loan. The temporary deal was set to be extended until the end of the season but those plans have been scuppered due to ankle ligament damage suffered in November. Lincoln boss Chris Sutton did not rule out a Sincil Bank return for Torres after he had recovered from the injury. "Sergio has returned to Peterborough United to continue his treatment," he told the Imps' official website. "If he's still available when he's fully fit then we'll review the situation."
