31-8-10: St Mirren have moved to recruit former Grimsby winger Nick Hegarty until the end of the season.
Hegarty had been without a club following his release from the Mariners, who lost their Football League status in May.
The 24-year-old spent nearly a week on trail at the Buddies, impressing manager Danny Lennon enough to earn a deal.
