Blue Square Premier play-off hopefuls Luton have signed Janos Kovacs after the defender was released by Lincoln. The 24-year-old Hungarian's contract was cancelled by mutual consent on Tuesday morning and he has signed a deal with the Hatters until the end of the season. 28-6-10: Central defender Janos Kovacs has become Simon Davey's first signing as Hereford United manager. The 24-year-old has signed a two-year-deal at Edgar Street after leaving Blue Square Premier side Luton Town. Kovacs only arrived at Kenilworth Road in January 2010 but featured 17 times for the Hatters last term and is now the first acquisition of the Davey regime. "'I am thrilled at the opportunity of playing back in the Football League and from the first meeting I had with Simon Davey I knew this is where I wanted to be playing next season," said the former Hungarian U-21 international.
