24-3-11: Scunthorpe United defender Niall Canavan has joined Shrewsbury on loan until the end of the season.
The teenager told Town's official website: "I've come here with the aim of playing games so it's up to me to show what I can do and get a place in the team."
Turner added: "He's a big strong lad, he's a powerful player, has a really good left foot and defends really well. We are a bit short in the left side of defence with only Shane Cansdell-Sherriff and Mat Sadler so Niall will give us another option."
