25-2-10: Everton have signed 16-year-old defender Johan Hammar from Malmo. The Swedish youngster was originally on trial at Goodison Park in the summer and has been offered a permanent deal with the Toffees. The clubs agreed a verbal fee at the start of the year, which was thought to be lower than the obligatory educational fee due to Hammar not having a contract at Malmo. The player was understood to have left for Merseyside on Wednesday morning before finalising the deal in the afternoon. Martin Klette, the player's agent, has stated that Hammar will join up with his new team at the end of the season. "The plan is for Johan to play with the Under 18 team and probably leave (for England) this summer," said Klette. 24-2-11: Everton have finally completed the signing Johan Hammar on a permanent contract from Malmo, now that the Swede has reached the age of 17. "It feels really fun," Hammar told Wagnsson Sports & Entertainment. "When I moved to England last summer, I knew it would happen, but it was not signed until now. "I am truly happy to play for a Premier League club."
