19-1-11: Birmingham City have signed ex-Haarlem youth striker Akwasi Asante.
Blues boss Alex McLeish said: "He's a young centre-forward, strong, quick and we believe he has got a chance.
"He has caught the eye, no doubt about it. We have been impressed by Akwasi this season and he has trained with us, actually, before he scored the [five] goals against Spurs [at youth-team level]."
