James McArthur has completed his move to Wigan from Hamilton. McArthur has agreed personal terms and passed a medical at the DW Stadium after Wigan agreed an undisclosed fee with Hamilton for the midfielder. The 22-year-old is understood to have inked a four-year deal at Wigan and will join former Accies team-mate James McCarthy at the Lancashire club. Hamilton were resigned to losing McArthur with a host of clubs tracking his progress for the last couple of seasons. Wigan have been chasing the talented playmaker for some time and they are believed to have beaten off interest from the likes of West Brom, Birmingham and Leeds to his signature.
