2-7-10: Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Scottish striker Kris Boyd on a free transfer.
The Scottish Premier League's all-time top-scorer passed a medical on Teesside over the weekend and has now penned his contract.
Boro have revealed that Boyd has signed a two-year deal at the Riverside.
The 26-year-old is Boro's second signing of the summer, joining Livingston's Andrew Halliday in the North East.
Boro are also hoping to finalise the capture of Charlton captain Nicky Bailey in the next 24 hours.#
8-3-11: Middlesbrough have concluded a swap deal with Nottingham Forest, which will see Boro striker Kris Boyd being loaned to Forest with goalkeeper Paul Smith moving on loan in the opposite direction.
Boro boss Tony Mowbray said: "It's a good deal for the club and it's a good deal for the player (Boyd), who will hopefully get some game time and build his confidence back up.
"Smith has plenty of experience at this level and he has played in the Premier League too.
"We clearly needed a goalkeeper, and he brings us experience and a steady pair of hands."
