23-8-10: Wigan have signed former Burnley defender Steven Caldwell on a one-year contract and the Scotland international will join brother Gary at the club.
The 29-year-old, who was a free agent after leaving Turf Moor in the summer, has impressed manager Roberto Martinez after spending the last few weeks on trial with the Latics.
