Titus Bramble is eager to pen a new contract at Wigan Athletic Football Club.

The former Newcastle United defender has transformed himself into one of the key members of the Latics back four following his blunder-filled stay at St James Park, and he is keen to commit to the JJB Stadium side.

"I have the rest of this season and next season left on my contract,” Bramble told the Wigan Evening Post. "I think something will get sorted out soon, my agent is due to speak to the club about a new deal.

"I'd love to stay here, the fans have been great to me and I'm really settled. What is important is that I'm playing week in, week out - that is what every player wants and I'm no different.

“They've given me a chance and I'm grateful for that. We've got a good squad and I'm sure the manager will make some good signings in the summer to strengthen us further."
