Julio Cesar admits he is sad to see Adriano leave Inter Milan.

The Brazilian striker had his contract terminated by mutual consent on Friday, and his former San Siro team-mate admits he is sad to see the back of the occasionally brilliant forward.

"I think that he has made the best choice for himself. I'm sorry, because I wish he was still here with us," Cesar told Sky Sports. "We must leave him alone, he is considering what to do now.

“I don't know if he will resume playing right away. We all know Adriano's capabilities, he has great strength and I hope he returns to play football as soon as possible."
