Fulham manager wants to keep hold of Nevland
07:17 PM 26 April, 2009
Roy Hodgson wants to keep Erik Nevland at Fulham Football Club.

The Norwegian is wanted by former club Viking in the summer, but after the 31-year-old scored the only goal of the game against Stoke City on Saturday, Hodgson vowed to do all he can to keep hold of him.

"He has been an outstanding professional since he's been here. Viking are desperate to get him back and I'd like to keep him of course,” he said. "That is something we'll have to discuss in the coming weeks.

"I would be interested to hear how he sees things because he has done such a good job for us and I certainly would not want to force a decision on him that he was not happy with.

"But if he was happy to stay with us we'd be very happy to keep him."
