Niall Quinn wants to see some passion from his Sunderland Football Club players.
A 3-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday leaves the Black Cats just four points above the relegation zone with the same number of games remaining, starting with the visit of Everton this Sunday.
"We had a very, very poor game on Saturday," chairman Quinn told Sky Sports. "Our fans went home very, very unhappy. Sunderland fans want one thing, they will forgive anything.
“I saw them clap their manager for two hours at Maine Road one time many years ago when they got relegated, because he had a team that gave everything.
"Sunderland fans just want to see the team give genuine effort, genuine passion and run until they drop and that's what we have got to do for the next few games.”
