The form of Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia has led to calls for him to be selected for Emgland should he become a naturalised British citizen.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger commented on this situation in his press conference: "If it's possible legally then why not?

"It's more a choice for the English football federations and Manuel Almunia's desire.

"I'm not to be involved in that because it doesn't really depend on Arsenal Football Club.

"I believe that he is not only good enough, he's the best."
