Wayne Rooney plans to stay at Manchester United Football Club for the rest of his career.

The England international has been indispensible for the Reds following a £30million move from Everton in the summer of 2004, when he was just 18-year-old.

As he looks to add more silverware to his collection this season, Rooney, now 23, has revealed he would be delighted to see out the rest of his career at Old Trafford.

“I am happy here and I'd sign a new contract at any time,” he told the Sunday Telegraph. “I want to stay at this club for the rest of my career. I will sign an extension any time the club wants me to.”
