Is £12million Cisse really the answer for Tottenham Hotspur?

If Djibril Cisse is the answer for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, then what is the question?

It is well documented that despite bringing Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe back to White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp wants to sign another striker in the summer.

Roman Pavlyuchenko has failed to live up to his £14million price tag and Darren Bent, despite top scoring with twelve league goals, also appears to be available for transfer.

Reports claim Cisse, the Sunderland striker on loan from Marseille, is a prime target for Redknapp, after the Black Cats admitted they are unlikely to afford his fee.

The French club want £12million for the 27-year-old, but as he has scored two less Premier League goals than Bent and played two more times, is he really the answer for Spurs?

Please, Please, Please, no more huge ammounts of money on players like cisse, bentley, chimbonda,kaboul, berbatov, etc etc, These are players who love being in the prem, but when the going gets tough they're not prepared to dig in and give a performance. They want the easy life of getting medals and success by joinig teams like the top 4 and latching on to others hard work simply for the glory. Darren bent is no top notch footballer but i would pick OUR TOP SCORER over cisse and the like anyday we need players in other positions first. Our strikers are good enough to score its the build up and playmaking to them that we need to strengthen and get some of the lazy can't be bothered wankers out...

Tevez is a fighter. We NEED fighters. Cisse is hot and cold - no need - have enough hot and cold already. Look for tenacity in players NOT only reputation. Palacios is a fine example of tenacity without reputation.

I dread the thought of Cisse coming to Spurs. From what Ive seen of him he is capable of giving you 3 or 4 excellent games a season. That would be fine if there wasnt almost 40 league games, plus what may or may not happen in Europe. I think firstly you have to see who WANTS to play for us and ship out those who dont, Then add a couple of excellent players (ones who wont demoralise the team by saying theyre unhappy all the time, such as Berbatov ) As long as there is spirit, I think Harry could take us well into europe and win it next season..as for Cisse, sorry but NO thanks he's been given too many chances.

i think Briker hit the nail on the head. I cant see Tevez being a realistic possability, either with wages or the fact there is a good chance we wont be playing european football next year. I think we should stick with what we have, for another year atleast, we know all 4 strikers are good for 10-15 goals a season. Plus if we spend the money on a quality left winger (not downing) service will improve and so will goals

Your absolutely right just for once spurs lets stick with what we have as its got us to a cup final and and a higher finish than last year although this isnt amazing it could improve with another season. Please for the love of god redknapp DONT SIGN DOWNING he is awful he has got 2 goals this season none in prem despite being their penalty taker. He has no pace so essentially he is very similar ot bentley looks flash but no real talent. Europe would be good as would give more players the chance to play and more money and ultimately the chance of another trophy. COYS!!!!
