Burton central defender Jake Buxton is delighted to be joining his former manager Nigel Clough at Pride Park.

The 24-yar old will join the Rams on afree transfer as his current deal expires. Buxton will sign a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

"It's a dream come true, and I am still dreaming now," Buxton told ThisisNottingham.co.uk

"I have been given a chance at Championship level and now I have to get in the side.

"I am going to give myself the best chance to do that by working hard and showing everybody that I want to play.

"The word desire is used often and it is a strong word. Hopefully, by the end of next season, people will have seen that I have the desire."
