Gerrard, Torres & Kuyt may end Liverpool’s Tevez interest
03:00 PM 13 May, 2009
Liverpool Football Club may decide they can manage without Carlos Tevez.

The Argentina international has revealed he is set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season, when his two-year loan spell at Old Trafford comes to an end.

Liverpool are believed to be amongst the front-runners for the former West Ham United star, who has declared an interest in remaining in the Premier League.

However, it is believed Rafael Benitez is not as interested in Tevez as many would believe, due mainly to Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt and Fernando Torres.

The Spaniard knows the United man would only move to Anfield if he knew his first team chances would be greater than they are in Manchester, and this is something which can’t be guaranteed.

Benitez has been hugely encouraged by the Gerrard-Torres combination in attack, whilst the hard-running and improvement of Kuyt offers similar to what Tevez could bring to the table.

Raffa needs to bite the bullit and buy Tevez. He is everything that Kuyt wishes and more. Tevez not only works hard but has great quality. Kuyt on the other hand is hard working and will chase the ball all day so in that case why not tie bacon to the ball and let my dog play right side?! Unfair i know, but Kuyt slows the game down on the right and does not posses the same quality as Stevie and Torres. We need kuyt in our side but we need Tevez more! Over and out!
