Reports in Spain claim Manchester United Football Club’s Cristiano Ronaldo will join Real Madrid in the summer...and they mean it this time.

Last summer the Portugal international was desperate to join the Spanish giants, but Sir Alex Ferguson simply refused to entertain the idea of selling the forward.

Ronaldo continues to be linked with a move to the Bernabeu despite insisting he is now happy at Old Trafford, and reports in El Pais claim a transfer is already in place.

The Spanish newspaper reckon the player and his club signed agreements last summer to allow him to join Real after 1 July 2009, although the Reds have an option to cancel the deal before 31 May.
