Ferrara replaces Ranieri at Juventus
Ciro Ferrara has been appointed as the new head coach of Juventus.
Juve sacked ex-Chelsea coach Claudio Ranieri on Monday after two months without a victory, and their former player Ferrara has been unveiled as his replacement in the interim.
"I did not have any questions or requests, but made myself available to the club, as I have since 1994,” said the 42-year-old, who made over 300 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri.
“At this time I have been given this chance and took it without hesitation. Obviously there are strong emotions. I don't want to be judged for my past, I want to be judged for the work I do on the field."
