Pollitt to extend Wigan Athletic stay
Mike Pollitt is set to extend his stay at Wigan Athletic Football Club.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper is the longest-serving player at the JJB Stadium, and although he is behind Chris Kirkland in the pecking order, he is happy to agree a one-year extension.
"I'm hoping it can all be done before I go away on holiday," Pollitt told the Wigan Evening Post. "It wasn't a difficult decision to make. It probably took all of 30 seconds.
"I'm at a Premier League club and the chance of still having the opportunity to play games at this level is worth hanging about for. Being here suits me."
