Former Old Trafford striker linked with €16million Arsenal switch
01:00 PM 22 May, 2009
Giuseppe Rossi, the former Manchester United youngster, has been linked with Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger clearly wants to boost his Gunners squad in the summer, and he is likely to be in the market for a new striker regardless of the future of Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togo international is said to be a target for AC Milan for a second successive summer, and reports on 4-4-2.com suggest Rossi could replace him at the Emirates Stadium.

The Italian international was hugely rated by Sir Alex Ferguson during his time at Old Trafford, although he couldn’t quite force his way into the Reds starting line-up.

Now impressing in La Liga with Villarreal, the 22-year-old is said to be a target for the Emirates Stadium club and Russian side Zenit St Petersburg, with the bidding expected to reach €16million.
