Macclesfield have retained the services of former loanee Emile Sinclair by signing him a one-year contract from Nottingham Forest.

The striker, 21, joined the Silkmen in January for the first of two loan spells at the Moss Rose.

"Emile came in and did very well in his first month with us," Macc boss Keith Alexander told the club's official website.

"Then he went back to Forest and after coming back for the second two months he perhaps didn't do quite so well but I think that was the culture shock of coming here full-time.

"We don't have all the same bits and bobs available to players as you would get somewhere like Forest but he's another one with the versatility to play in more than one position, has great pace, and he'll knuckle down and be a very good player for us."
