Collins: Sunderland still in driving seat
Danny Collins insists Sunderland Football Club are still in the driving seat for survival.
The Black Cats could drop into the Championship if they fail to beat Chelsea and other results go against them, but Collins knows ultimately they have their own fate in their hands.
"I think we thought we would be sitting somewhere like Wigan Athletic or West Ham United in that middle of the table where they haven't got too much to play for now,” he said.
"It's exciting for the neutrals. The last time we were relegated, we were down long before the end of the season, which wasn't nice, so at least we are still in the mix of things and still in the driving seat."
