Arsenal favourites to land £7m Liverpool & Spurs target?
02:56 PM 26 May, 2009
Marouane Chamakh will be leaving Bordeaux to join Arsenal, Liverpool or Tottenham...but the Emirates Stadium is the most likely destination.

The 25-year-old Morocco international said: "I've expressed the wish to leave, I hope that the directors will be understanding.

"There remains for me one year on my contract and it is a good time for everyone to leave, so everyone will win."

Philippe Auclair of France Football Magazine told Setanta Sports News: "He's in the last year of his contract, so he can be bought for very little money considering how good this player is: 13 goals in France this season.

"He would cost between six and seven million pounds, which is nothing for an international striker of that value.

"A number of clubs have been following him. Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle (but I think that's a little bit irrelevant now) and Arsenal.

"The fact is Arsenal would be favourites to land Marouane Chamakh, whom I think would be an absolute hit in England.

"He's young but not that young. He's played an awful lot of games in the French League.

"He's probably the best header of the ball in the Championnat, at the moment. Great attitude, on and off the pitch. A great guy to have in the dressing room."

Why are these stupid arsenal fans blaming all the problems of the club on Adebayor, I think Arsenal fans must be the most bitter people on this planet. You have not won a trophy because you were not as good as the team that won simple. Leave Ade alone, he scored 30 goals last season so he must give you 50 this season. I believe as a striker give him better support from the mid-field and am sure you will see 30 goals or more again

Chomak can give a lot to Arsenal for a lot less, he's a real warrior with a good attitude. He'll be a better return on investment.
