Shearer to tell Arsenal hands off Taylor?

According to the Journal Live, Alan Shearer is going to tell Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley not to include Nicky Butt, Steven Taylor and Steve Harper as part of the club’s post-relegation fire sale.

Taylor has been tracked by Arsenal, but the Gunners may have more joy if they place a bid for Sebastien Bassong.

Bassong said in March: "I would lie if I said that Arsenal are not a club I’m interested in."
