Reports suggest Newcastle United may actually be able to offload Fabricio Coloccini in the summer.

The Argentine defender is one of the highest earners at St James Park, following his £10million transfer from Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna last year.

Relegation from the Premier League means the Magpies will inevitable have to offload a number of players from their first team squad, and Coloccini pretty much tops this list.

It was anticipated that United would struggle to find any takers for the 27-year-old, yet it is being reported that Sevilla are ready to take him back to La Liga during the transfer window.

It remains to be seen if Coloccini can be offloaded on a permanent basis or whether it would be a loan deal, but the Tyneside club would happily explore any possibilities.
