Striker Jake Robinson is the subject of interest following his release by Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed two separate loan spells with Aldershot but Shrews boss Paul Simpson is a fan as well as Shot's boss Gary Waddock.

While Robinson struggled for goals last season at the Rec, finding the net just four times, Waddock has declared that he wants to try and bring the forward to the Rec permanently.

Simpson told the Shrewsbury Chronicle: "Robinson is a player I have wanted before.

"I have spoken to his agent but no more than that. We didn't talk about wages or anything like that."
