Portsmouth Football Club are being linked with a move for Sven Goran Eriksson.

Sulaiman al-Fahim is close to agreeing a takeover of the Fratton Park club, and he will be eager to appoint a high-profile boss to replace caretaker Paul Hart this summer.

And reports suggest he has made former England coach Eriksson his top target, with the Swede currently out of work after losing his role with the Mexican national side in April.

Last seen in the Premier League with Manchester City, the 61-year-old is believed to want a return to the Premier League where he guided the Blues to a ninth place finish in 2007-08.
