Michael Chopra is one of several players who will leave Sunderland Football Club this summer.

The Black Cats have confirmed that the former Newcastle United youngster will join Cardiff City, another of his former clubs, for £4million after impressing during a loan spell.

Joining Chopra on the way out of the Stadium of Light is Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke, David Connolly, Arnau Riera, Nick Colgan, Darren Ward, Peter Hartley and Neil McArdle.

Meanwhile, loan players Calum Davenport, Tal Ben Haim and Djibril Cisse will all return to their respective clubs, West Ham United, Manchester City and Marseille.
