League One champions Leicester City have signed goalkeeper Chris Weale on a pre-contract agreement from Bristol City.
The 27-year-old becomes the Foxes` fourth signing of the summer, joining Jack Hobbs, Wayne Brown and Robbie Neilson at the Walkers Stadium.
"Chris is a player who we have monitored and has been on our wish list for quite a while now," said manager Nigel Pearson.
"He has had limited opportunities at Bristol City and following a successful loan period at Yeovil Town we are delighted to secure his services.
"Chris is desperate to succeed here at Leicester and we believe he has the ability and the mental strength to do just that."
Bristol City boss Gary Johnson told his club's website: "Chris was never really able to show the fans here what he was about due to injuries.
"For that reason this move is best for all parties."
Leicester largely relied on loan goalkeepers last season with Mark Bunn, David Martin, David Stockdale and Tony Warner all having spells with the promotion-winning Foxes.
