Kanu insists he and his Portsmouth team-mates would back Sven Goran Eriksson all the way.

If Sulaiman Al-Fahim completes his takeover of the Fratton Park club he will look to appoint the Swede as manager, and Kanu has revealed he and his players would support such a move.

"The boys are there to work with anybody that comes in. We will give them our support and do whatever they want us to do," he told Sky Sports.

"It doesn't matter who comes in, the most important thing is the stability of the club and I think that has happened now. The players are happy with that."
