Middlesbrough keen to take Gary Neville from United?
10:00 AM 02 June, 2009
Middlesbrough Football Club have been linked with a shock move for Gary Neville.

The 34-year-old fullback has earned himself a shock recall to the England squad, despite a hit-and-miss season which has seen him start just thirteen Premier League games.

Neville has been at Manchester United all his life and is contracted to the club until next summer, but reports in the Evening Gazette claim Boro want to take him to Teesside.

Gareth Southgate reportedly sees the player as the perfect man to lead Boro back to the top-flight, yet it would be a huge shock if he can lure him from Manchester.

Southgate what ever you do do not get rid of Huth, Emnes, Johnson (especially Johnson), and possibly Alves. Alves is to slow for the premiership. He is only good against slow defenders. Thats why he was amazing in Holland!
