City turn to £4million Huth following Wheater snub?
Birmingham City Football Club are keen to sign Robert Huth.
Alex McLeish had initially wanted to take advantage of Middlesbrough’s relegation from the Premier League by plucking David Wheater from the Riverside Stadium.
However, the Blues are unable to match the asking price of £6million for the England Under-21 international and, more significantly, he wants to stay on Teesside.
Reports are now suggesting McLeish will turn to Wheater’s team-mate Huth, who has recently been recalled to the Germany squad, in a £4million swoop.
