Tranmere sack Moore!
12:54 PM 05 June, 2009
In what seems on the surface to be a harsh decision, Tranmere Rovers have sacked manager Ronnie Moore in the wake of the club's failure to reach the League One play-offs.

Moore knows League One inside out and performed miracles while at the helm of Rotherham United, so won't have to wait long before he gets his next job offer.

This does seem a rather harsh decision. I've always has a big soft spot for the Rovers, even after they stuffed us 3-0 in the Cup lol. I agree with Ian Sharp. Moore has consistently performed above what was expected given the lack of funds. He has, to extent and purposes done a 'Moyes' in getting Tranmere up with teams with far greater spending power. I hope Tranmere get in someone capable of getting them into the playoffs, or better still, the top 2, but it's going to be hard and getting rid of an incredibly savvy manager in Ronnie Moore is a big mistake.

biggest mistake was lettin johnny king go years ago..so aldridge could be given the job. that was the start of the decline mr johnson... the board should take a good long look at them selves.. no manager unless tranmere through an through would want the job.. what funds have been given over the years.. look at the likes of wigan,bolton,stoke,burnley.. we were far a better team than these lot, yet were still in div 1... u go on about falling attendances,no wonder with medioca football now at prenton park... get it sorted or do us a favour an SELL UP. so we can try an get someone in willing to take us up an up... white army 4eva
