Gunners anger Spurs with imminent £5m double deal?

Arsenal are set to move swiftly on the transfer front and snatch St Etienne duo Mouhamadou Dabo and Blaise Matuidi from under the very noses of Spurs.

Tottenham have apparently made their interest in Dabo known to the French club and were considering a bid for midfielder Matuidi also.

Les Verts sporting director Damien Comolli is thought to be ready to conclude a deal with swiftly with Arsenal instead; a move which is set to annoy his former employers Spurs - who apparently asked to be kept up to date with all developments surrounding the pair.

“We are trying to keep our best players,” Comolli told L’Equipe. “We are lucky to have talented young players, who are not at the end of a cycle.

“Our intention is to keep the major part of them, even if some contract circumstances are annoying for us, including regarding Mouhamadou Dabo, who has only one year left of contract.”

Comolli - who used to scout for Arsenal - left Spurs under a cloud, but is reportedly still on good terms with Arsene Wenger.

Once upon a time there was a french world cup winning team who were pretty awsome. They changed their name to Arsnal. They enjoyed a bit of success in the prem for a while but then they slowly started to get old and one by one they left. Mr wenger, the fairy god twat ,in his arrogant wisdom didn't replace them with top footballers, he bought babies and said to them go forth little boys and play some pretty ballerina football. BUT THEN other teams came and started tackling the fairies and without permission too. The faires didn't like this because it meant they had to play a bit tougher but as they are only little fairy cakes they started to let goals in and even lose matches. ALL the fans were so upset they daren't utter a sound at the goonerland ground untill they knew for sure the game was over and won. this meant the emirates was like being in outer space NO FUCKING ATMOSPHERE!! What are the fary cake supporters doing on the Spurs Link i wonder?? maybe their new found friend Damien, who they rejected, has rekindled his love for mr wenger and have become bum buddies again.....

That's because White Hart Lane has the best steward's in London & you don't have to queue for your seats like you do at the lifeless Library. you still haven't won in Europe tho. Call me back when you have a UEFA winners medal. In fact, you've not even managed to visit the new Wembley in a final yet, have you? Its great! Well done for the impressive maths, Danny, although pity the grammar lets your rant down a bit. One thing we do have at Spurs is a loyal fan base who stick by the club through thick and thin. We will always be there whatever happens on the pitch. Always have been, always will be. How many of you guys will still be around at the Emirates when Wenger is gone and you're just another team? (or when your £350m debt puts you in adminsitration?)

Yes fair comment, Arsenal have had a great 5 years and have really suceeded in making 4th place their own, Miles away from the big 3, but up for the trophyless challenge of 4th place again next season with Everton, Villa and Citeh and maybe even a suprise team. These Arse 'babies' with an average age of 27 might win something before they retire. Then again Wenger might stop making excuses and pigs might fly.
