Sunderland target stunning bid for Robbie Keane?

Sunderland Football Club have been linked with a move for Robbie Keane.

Whilst the Black Cats are expected to move for £10million-rated Darren Bent this summer, The Guardian claim they also want his Tottenham Hotspur strike partner.

Keane enjoyed six fine seasons at White Hart Lane before leaving for Liverpool last summer, but his spell on Merseyside was disappointing and he returned to Spurs in January.

Harry Redknapp is eager to raise funds to boost his squad ahead of next season, but it would be a huge surprise if the Republic of Ireland international was sacrificed.

i'd rather have darren bent. there's enough irish at sunderland to fill a camp site and a few transit vans as it is......... plus keane's had a worse season than any other player in the prem, (apart from craig gordon, who should be sold in the summer anyways)

Well its a funny old game. Doubt Keane will move now he is back at Spurs. Rumour was it was on the cards when Peter Reid was at Sunderland, though doubt it now. Waiting for that TV Documentary that is going to name and shame 3 top managers for taking bungs. Kev Bond dropped his lawsuit last week against the Documntary that had him admitting it on camera. Plonkers the lot of them. Shame the game they do. Greedy morons.

Got my beer on the sideboard here ticklin the ivories. Harry is a dodgy geezer like and has a history for taking envelopes of cash of agents, no what I eamn guv! Even the old bill ghad him in for some Q & A plus his mate Kev Bond. Never know he may need the cash pay off on the side like ? if Keane gets sold Harry will have a nice tisy sum to build an extension to his Sandbanks manor. Never let truth get in the way of a good story now. We all on our way to Wembley. In July anyhow.

This site does make me laugh! If theres no info on certain clubs they resort to making shit up! Get a life!! If Harry wanted funds for the summer he wouldn't have bought him back to the club just to sell him on again!! He's a business man, not a moron!! go and have a wank or something and stop wasting our time!!

in all fairness, you cannot really guess what harry redknapp is gonna do he said tto pompey 'im staying for life' then moved, he said to safc 'i dont want jones' made a bid for him redknapps policy seems to be wind up everyone else in the league and publicly announce plain lies, for all we know he might have bought keane just to piss off the scouse twats
