Cisse desperate to face Sunderland next season
04:07 PM 14 June, 2009
Djibril Cisse would love to face Sunderland Football Club next season.

The French striker enjoyed a season on loan at the Stadium of Light last season, scoring 10 Premier League goals, but the Black Cats have decided against taking him from Marseille permanently.

Cisse has made no attempt at hiding his disappointment at this decision, and he hopes to sign for another top-flight side in England so he can prove his former club wrong.

"I went into the final game thinking that I was going to be taken on," he told The Guardian. "Because I had been told, when we are safe, we talk contracts. It's either a lie or a misunderstanding.

"If I had the chance to come back to another English club, I'd have to face Sunderland and it would be up to me to make them regret their decision.”

Cisse is reportly on £76,000 per week, only the top four pay that sort of money or maybe Man City or Newcastle, good luck in the Championship Djibril,

i think cisse needs to grow up ! he needs to dry his eyes, get on with it and find a new club. the sunderland who didn't take up the option to sign him (steve bruce) is very different to the sunderland that initially signed him...that is obvious? i thought he was a grown up ? threatening to sign for another premier league club so he can play against sunderland and prove them wrong...please! if he had put as much effort into playing as he seems to in whinging and moaning and complaining maybe brucie would have fancied him ? instead he sulked, wandered around the pitch aimlessly, complaining, faining injury, blaming others for his mistakes...if another premier league club wants a player like that, they are welcome to him !
