Liverpool Football Club are said to be closing on Nicolas Lodeiro.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan Under-20 international is rated as one of the most exciting talents in South America, and he is expected to head to Europe soon.

Reports suggest Rafael Benitez wants to take Lodeiro to Anfield as early as this summer, after receiving glowing reports following his performances for Nacional.

The talented playmaker may make for a complicated transfer, though, as like other players from the Uruguayan Under-20 side, his rights are owned by BBC Sport.
