Rochdale midfielders Ciaran Toner and Joe Thompson have accepted the offers of a new one-year contract at Spotland.

Thompson came through the club's youth system and has made 62 apperances over two seasons as a pro. He also netted five goals last season as Rochdale made the play-offs.

Toner joined the club last summer on a free transfer from Grimsby Town and made a total of 37 league appearances last season.
