Kevin Davies has urged Bolton Wanderers to spend during the transfer window.

The Trotters used just 21 players last season as they finished thirteenth in the Premier League, and Davies feels Gary Megson needs more at his disposal.

"It is nothing against the lads who are already here but sometimes you need a bit of quality to come in to freshen things up and give you something different," he told the Bolton News.

“I'm sure the gaffer will be looking to put it right over the summer. We have got a good base here and I genuinely think we can start moving forward now."
