Sam Allardyce would love to work with Eidur Gudjohnsen again, with reports suggesting the Blackburn Rovers Football Club boss is plotting a £3million bid.

Allardyce worked with the Icelandic striker at Bolton Wanderers, before reluctantly selling him to Chelsea for £4million in the summer of 2000.

Gudjohnsen helped the Blues to two Premier League titles before leaving for Barcelona in 2006, but his time at the Camp Nou is expected to come to an end this summer.

It is believed Allardyce, now in charge of Blackburn, is plotting a £3million move for the 30-year-old, although this is an offer Turkish side Besiktas are willing to match.
