Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man U & Spurs watch Eto'o talks with interest?
02:09 PM 22 June, 2009
While Barcelona president Joan Laporta hopes that striker Samuel Eto'o will finish his career at Camp Nou, he must be aware of the interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Spurs.

The 28-year-old would still fetch a large price, despite only having a year left on his current deal, so presumably Barca would prefer to sell while they can to avoid losing the asset on a Bosman free transfer.

Barca's first priority though, is to get Eto'o to sign a new deal as Laporta explained to their official website: "Eto'o is the best striker in the world, highly valued in the market. It would be nice if he could finish his career at Barca.

"Eto'o's contract ends next season and that requires us to sit and talk. The club wants him to continue for many more years, always in line with our wage structure."

That comment is a load of bollocks! Anyway, the only reason Spurs have been linked with him again is because before he joined Barca he very nearly signed for us. He also dedicated a goal to the Spurs fans soon after signing...can't see why but he did it anyway!

I wish spurs would stop including themselves in all the transfer speculation its just embarrasing for us spurs fans because its painfully obvious we're not getting them.

Tottenham fan here - You're all deluded idiots... You actually believe this story? LOOL. Why would Eto'o leave Barca after winning the Champs league?? He gets first team football there and plus, the fans love him!Honestly, you Arsenal fans make me laugh, so clueless. Spurs aren't trying to buy him anyway. FansFC, another joke of a website, live of possibilities and not facts, yes he has one year left on his contract and some could argue that they may want to take 30 million odd before it's too late but seriously, come up with a better story with some proof he might be leaving. FansFC = JOKE OF A WEBSITE.

lols, manure wont sign him i agree with kidder on that, we all know arsenal wont and dont have the money to spend on 1 player (£25-£30m) lols wengers to tight,, city can afford him but will he come?? chelsea can afford him but will he come? (and i dont think chelsea have £30m to spend on 1 player alone there entire budget is prolly only around the 30m mark,,, and spurs? are you avin a laugh? although arry can do a magic act hes not that bloody good lols spuds muahahaha.... i have to agree with karlo its a good laugh

There is no way he will come to Arsenal. We simply cant afford him. Why do Arsenal get included in such rumours? Chelsea, Man City and Man U have lots of money to blow in the summer but not us. As for Spurs, dont make me laugh, ok they have a bit of dosh but there isnt even a hope in hells chance he would consider a move there. Eto will stay a Barca, why would he move? Barca will offer him a better contract & money. Hes at a great club, their top scorer, enjoying his football & lifestyle......he simply wont leave.

Can't see United investing so much money in another old player!Having Berba on the books already is too much!Rather we go for Aguero,Benzema,Sanchez and Costas.
