Darlington manager Colin Todd has stemmed the tide of players departing the club.

Todd has persuaded skipper Steve Foster to remain at the Darlington Arena, a relief as he cannot sign new players while the club remains in administration.

"I've had to cut the cloth accordingly but the skipper, Foster, is on board now. He had a year to run on his contract anyway, but there was a little bit of work to do with him," Todd told the Darlington and Stockton Times.

"There was a hell of a lot to do when I started and it's been very hectic since I got back from my holiday, but the good thing is that we're getting there."
